Pilots often carry GPS tracking devices for use in the unlikely event of an emergency. Some of these devices will register the pilots position every set interval.
We can take advantage of this to track the pilot in flight, drawing a line between each satellite "ping" from the device. This is is great for retrieves or even just seeing how pilots are doing on any XC day!
Below is a map that will search for 200 Australian registered pilots tracks. If they have flown in the past 3 days, their track will be shown on the map. The first time it loads, it will ask for your preferred zoom location and map type. The page will refresh every 10 minutes. Please be patient will it searches.
